Off to face it alone

We went to the Hunstman the day before to get all ready for surgery and Jed got to come home with these bad boys attached to his head! The kids all thought he had cold cereal stuck to him haha.

I don't think Jed or I really slept much last night. I kept on having dreams he was in surgery and then wake up that the alarm hadn't gone off yet. It happened over and over again.
I packed Jed's bag with my blanket he used when we met before his mission to feel closer to each other, a laptop, a picture of our family to go in his room, and a letter to any that will be caring for my sweetheart.

The drive was quiet and we just held each other's hand the whole way there.
I have dreaded this moment for the past two weeks, but here it is already.
I thought I wouldn't be able to even drive home from my eyes being too blurred with tears, but when the time really came, I was filled with so much strength and comfort. A feeling I never thought I would have dropping off the love of my life to go face brain surgery alone.
I pray that Jed has the same comfort that I have had.
There's no other place it could come from then from all the prayers and fasting that you all have done in our behalf. I can tell you that they really do work- and that God is with us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support- it has carried us this far, and I know it will continue to in the days and road ahead!

My brave warrior

Jed and I LOVE to run together. Since i can’t even be with Jed before or after surgery or during his entire stay, although he is so strong and brave- he is feeling a little nervous and lonely, and very overwhelmed with all that lies ahead. If you are able to walk or run one mile for Jed this morning while he’s in surgery (surgery is today from 7 AM- 1:30 PM MST) and take a video or picture after with 1 finger held up to symbolize One mile at a time, and send it to my phone at 801-916-1899. I’m going to make a video with all of them and send it to him to watch when he wakes up from surgery. I know it would mean so much to him! Thank you!! ❤️🙏🏻

Our last big run before the surgery!
